January 13 - 26, 2020: Students Log Reading Hours
Reading logs were sent home in last week's Friday Folders (1/10/2020).
January 27 & 28, 2020: Students collect pledges
January 29-31, 2020: Students return reading logs and donations made by check.
Checks: Made out to Patterson International PTA

This year's Winter Read-a-thon is a PTA sponsored fundraising event!
The Read4Funds fundraiser has been changed this year as the decision was made between Healthy Schools and the PTA to move this effort in-house. In previous years, Run4Funds/Read4Funds, as a third-party company, captured 40% of the overall funds raised. Running this event ourselves means more profit for more books! PTA appreciates your patience as we may run into some hiccups as we navigate this process in lieu of paying 40% of our proceeds for someone else to do it for us. 
A separate communication will be sent out regarding prizes in the next few days. Prizes will be geared towards experiences. 
Why Participate?

The current Patterson International's PTA has made donating to the library a priority. Last year, $3,000.00 worth of grade level reading material was purchased and donated by the PTA. This year, the same $3,000.00 has been earmarked in the 2019-2020 budget. This fundraiser is above and beyond the PTA's annual contribution.

What is PTA?
PTA is an organization made up of people who want to make the school a better place for our kids. We are parents, grandparents, community members, and you!
The PTA provides many activities here at Patterson International. Our fundraising has enabled us to provide things for the school such as a new gym floor, iPads, books for the library, and other technology supplies, as well as fulfilling teacher requests for their classrooms on smaller items throughout the year. We also host several events, such as a Chili Cook-Off/Monster Mash, a Spring Carnival, Movie Nights, Teacher Appreciation Week, and much more! These activities do not happen without your help and we’d love to have your ideas and expertise to expand on what we’re already doing.
When can you help?
PTA meetings are generally the first Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the school library. Please see the school calendar for any changes to this schedule.
We understand everyone is busy, so there is no expectation that members show up for every meeting. Rather, we count on our members to volunteer to help with one of our many activities. Whether you can help at one event during the year, an hour a month, or an hour a week, we have an opportunity that is just right for you!
