From Mr. Williams….

Dear Patterson Families,

I can’t believe that my first year serving the Patterson community as principal is over. It was a great first year, and I learned a ton about the school, the community and the students. I can’t wait for the second year to begin as I look forward to continuing my learning as principal and working with the students and teachers to ensure that we continue to develop our students to their full potential.

I want to celebrate some of the great work that the students accomplished this school year. First, I want to recognize the 6th graders for their hard work with exhibition and their transition to middle school next year. Good luck 6th graders! Excellent work 5th graders for enduring the Growing and Changing unit with maturity and class! Congratulations to our 4th graders for their hard work with the energy fair in the fall and the influential person day this spring. Kudos to the 3rd graders for their successful Teddy Bear Tea Party and the money that was raised for charity. The night of Nobles that the 2nd grade hosted was a success, and it was great to see all the customs and dancing from the second graders that night. Big props to our Kindergarteners and 1st graders on learning to read and improving their reading skills. Lastly, shout out to all students for their participation in Field Day, Pin Wheels for Peace, participation in clubs and activities, band and orchestra students, and all the students who received a Panther Award this year!

I would also like to celebrate some improvements to the school thanks to Jeffco voters, the PTA and our Healthy Schools Committee. First, I would like to thank the PTA for their generous donations throughout the year that helped to provide iPads, teacher appreciation, and hundreds of new novels and books for Patterson students. Additionally, I would like to thank the Jeffco voters who approved 5A and 5B which will provide some building improvements to Patterson that we will see this summer. We will be getting a playground upgrade which will provide some updated equipment for our students to enjoy during recess. We will also be getting seven exterior cameras installed to provide added safety and security to the campus for students and staff. Lastly, thanks to the Healthy School Committee that continues to support our students through their fundraising and donations that provided additional technology for the Patterson Chromebook Lab.

Thanks again to all the students, staff, and parents that made my first year at Patterson a success! I look forward to our continued work together and the start of school August 14th. Have a great summer, enjoy your families and be safe!
