Amanda Watters
Hello, my name is Amanda Watters, and I am honored to be your child’s first grade teacher this year. This is my second year as a first-grade classroom teacher. I previously taught K-6 English as a Second language (ESL) for thirteen years, the most recent nine of which were at Patterson International. I love this school and am excited for another great year. I strongly believe in IB as an amazing approach to learning, and I even participated as an IB learner and received my IB diploma in high school. Of course, I have expanded my education since then and love learning new things.
I look forward to partnering with families and the community to educate the whole child. I know it is essential to maintain open communication, so please keep in touch and contact me at any time. It is my pleasure to work with the children and families at Patterson International so that the best educational experiences are possible.
Outside of the classroom, I have two young sons and two dogs who work to keep me on my toes. They take up almost all of my free time, and we love visiting parks, museums, pools, gymnastics, the zoo, our karate studio, and many more places. When I have a moment to myself, I also enjoy running, hiking, skiing, and relaxing with a good book.
